Emil Busch 14" F6 Portrait Aplanat No.4

This Brass Portrait Aplanat is an early offering from Emil Busch. The same lens makers that brought us the Vademecum, Pantoscop, and Nicola Perscheid.

With a focal length of 14" and with a maximum aperture of F6 one will find this lens best suited for the 5X7 Format as the 8X10 format will not be covered unless one uses the lens stopped down.

The brass shows a good amount of wear from years of use. There are some small scratches present and the glass can also use a cleaning as some dirt has collected around perimeter of the front element. The iris diapragm works well even though it feels loose to the touch.

The projected image is extremely nice and is a testament to the enduring quality of Emil Busch lenses!
